Our approach to CSI is focussed on activities that enhance and have a lasting impact on the communities we serve. Through sustained engagements with community and business stakeholders, we have a deep understanding of their needs. We play a significant role in uplifting the quality of life of the people we serve.

Schools

We support hundreds of schools by providing free 1Gbps connectivity to enable learners and teachers to overcome the digital divide. We actively seek out partnerships with schools to build colocation and aggregation facilities on their premises, which allowes us to provide backup power to the school during outages.

Digital literacy

We have several initiatives to bring digital skills and enablement to consumers and entrepreneurs, including partnering with goGOGOgo on our Gogos with Vuma project to equip the elderly with basic digital skills. We also work closely with entrepreneurs in underserved areas to provide them with digital payment solutions and enable profitable reselling programmes for our connectivity solutions.

Sports clinics

In partnership with established non-profits like the Ernie Els Foundation, we coach thousands of children from underserved communities. We also provide an opportunity for talented upcoming athletes to offer their time and skills to under-privaleged youth. All the children who participate are also provided with free connectivity and online coaching to continue their journey.

Internship Programmes

All of the companies in our group have robust internship programmes, that not only offer short term opportunities, but also help to identify and develop talent to enhance our business. Our interns also participate in skills development courses and receive active mentorship to enhance their value to the job market.

Skills Development

We are committed to develop the skills and capabilities within our group to remain competitive and retain our valuable people. We have ongoing skills training for staff, as well as bursaries and incentives to encourage lifelong learning.

Sustainability

Maziv is committed to sustainability principles and practices, such as energy efficiency, the use of renewables, water security, environmental protection, and maintaining a high level of awareness within our teams of our environmental, social and governance (ESG) goals.
